Oh It Happened....

Finals week.. lovingly referred to as "Oh HELL No" from now on... I did well enough not to have to take a final in one class.. the other 3 weren't an option... Science was today.. did well.. Sociology is Thursday.. Will do well.. Pharmacology was yesterday..

Now my friends.. If you happened to hear a great big roar from the southernmost part of your world.. or northern if ya'll are south of Texas.. I'm sorry.. it was me... Since I have been back to school.. I have a GPA of 4.0... that covers the last 3 years.. ya know... in the 80's I was high.. my grades weren't.. but I digress...

Studied for this test this past weekend.. as the teacher decided we only needed 3 hours of instruction for the final 2 chapters she picked out for us... Going into the exam I had a 91.47 average.. care to venture a guess at my test score?

Fuck me to tears and throw away the towel my friends.. I made a 44... Can you say LIVID? It was by golly.. the most ambiguous test.. with crap on it that wasnt covered in any lecture.. dates that we were specifically told we did not have to know.. and just asinine crapola that made my eyes bleed....

The class avg for exams WAS an 84.. this test? 60.... It wasn't just me... We almost had a riot... Glad I only have one class left.. and THAT woman.. is not teaching it...Yes.. we went to the department chair.. she was flabbergasted.. and is looking into it.. we shall see..

Apparently.. in Texas.. the crime of possessing a controlled substance.. is enough to disqualify you from ever.. in life.. I mean.. FOREVER in life.. from receiving food stamps... Doesn't matter if you have changed your life.. doesn't matter that you did your time.. served the sentence imposed by the law.. just doesn't matter.. you can't get em..

However.. if you KILL someone.. RAPE someone.. or even MOLEST SOMEONE'S CHILD..or ROB A BANK... or STEAL A CAR.. or.. well I think you get the idea by mow... you can commit ANY CRIME.. as long as it isn't having dope.. then you are perfectly welcome to get aid if you need it.. or.. probably even if you don't.

Does this seem like you are being punished for the same crime all over again? Oh wait.. being punished for life? I thought I got a 4 year sentence...

And you thought double jeapordy was against the law.. well I did anyway... Turns out.. ehh not so much...

Ok.. so.. term papers are graded and back.. Anyone who KNOWS me.. knows that I am ever too anal about my GPA.. and barring a freakin miracle.. I might have to succumb to therapy.. or something.. I am about to get a B...yeah you heard it.. a B!!!!
:::mumbling under my breath::: if the woman WANTED a scientific research paper she shoulda SAID so.. and not say something innocuous about.. the roles of a social worker in.. (pick subject here) And.. I know this is wrong of me.. but I DO assume a certain level of intelligence when someone with a masters and working on her doctorate is reading a paper I wrote..you would THINK.. she knew what the term addiction meant and not have to have a definition AND a source for said word. If it is a PAPER ABOUT ADDICTION.. wouldn't you THINK that would already have been understood??? Can you tell I am seething and about to turn green iffn I don't stop?

But .. what the hell I needed a good rant.

By the way. I got a 95 on my other one.. which proves to me.. my writing skills have not gone to hell.

Oh.. and my garage is cleaned.. yeah buddy.. push come to shove and another tornado comes through my neighborhood.. lil baby car can SO go in the garage!!! I should have pictures posted.. but they are on my computer at home and I'm not.. So.. use your imagination and picture.. concrete floors with nothing on them.. well mostly anyway...
