The Tree Is UP!!!!

What a great day.. Blondie got the day off work and I got the day off school.. cause ya know.. the threat of imminent ice and snow in Texas.. well.. yeah.. it shuts us all down..kinda cute I think... All in all we did get a good coating of ice and some really nice snow.. A little more than flurries.. Buckeye thought it was something invading us.. he tried to bite at it as it was falling.. till something hit his face.. then he KNEW we were being attacked.. :::sigh:::: my hero... So here is what shut down the entire North Texas area...


The Christmas tree is up!! yay!!! We found a really awesome angel today.. all lighty and stuff.. I so love fiber optics... and icicles.. I love icicles on a tree.. and I want some snow to put on it.. so I can see the twinklie lights shining through...All I have to do now is find the decorations my parents gave me last year.. so I can put a wreath on the door.. and all the lil Christmassy stuff throughout the house..


I am so blessed in my life.. i know I have done a lot of work to get where I am.. but I also know.. that it was by the grace of my God.. that I am still here and have the ability to to the work.. Sometimes it was baby steps.. but by golly.. if thats what it took.. thats just what it took.. I am grateful for all that I have in my life.. not just the material things.. but the friends.. the family.. Sweet.. and my recovery.. not neccesarily in that order... well..probably in that order but backwards..

Guess I should go get some laundry in the washer.. my week starts over again tomorrow... I am so going to bid for an 8 hour shift next bid cycle.. Perish the thought I might be able to have weekends off as well.. dare I dream that big???
